At check-in, I told the staff that I am a light sleeper and I requested a room in a corner where there is noise. Yet, he gave me room at the first floor right at the main road and at the top on hotel’s main entrance door. There was no air conditioning. I couldn’t sleep whole night. Around 2:00 am I called the reception for help with noise coming from the people smoking atvthe entrance of the hotel , laughing and shouting in different languages…. He said we can not start air conditioning and we don’t have any other room for you. I spent all night fighting the heat and noise. I am a frequent traveler and I never write a bad review unless it is really merited. Even the attitude of the staff in the restaurant next morning for breakfast was so condescending! I will avoid this hotel at any cost! A tiny room where you can not even easy open your luggage does not matter…. What matters is if you can rest and sleep at night….. otherwise you can also spend the night at the airport… why pay so much for a hotel room?

Paris has become very expensive. I'd recommend to look for stays in the eastern arrondisements where there is still a lot of charm but perhaps prices are more reasonable. With the metro you can easily get to the top tourist spots from there.

For a "young at heart" rural Canadian couple the Metro and RER were super simple to get everywhere we wanted to go.
Was able to walk up to Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Bateaux Mouches 10pm Sienna river cruise and others with minimal Que or wait to get in. Didn't worry about fashion; comfortable is most important. Felt secure at all times but, like any major city always vigilant about potentially unsavory people.
ALWAYS greeted locals with a warm Bonjour/Bonsoir (after 6pm) and est que tu parle Anglais(e)? And found everyone to be as very much helpful as they have the ability to be.
Bayeux, in the Normandie region captured our 💞 and based out of Cormery for a few days to tour Amboise, DaVincis home, Loire Valley and the Troglodytes (cave dwellers) La Vallee Des Groupillieres was super cool. Closest town Azay-le-Rideau was a must see walk around. Do this trek in a day that the Loches outdoor market operates; it was amazing!
Bastielle Market in Paris a must see too. Supported by locals and charmingly un touristy imho.
Walking tour of Bayeux led by Mary from the Tourist Center was a best ever guided tour experience. Bisette a newer cafe has amazing breakfast a lunch to go. The chef, Clementine has an amazing list of North American food with a Parisienne flair. The Toot Toot train around Bayeux with Pascal was a nice way to get ones bearings. Bayeux farmers market Saturdays was sooo full of amazing food:)
Already planning our next trip!

I really enjoyed my time in Paris.
I really enjoyed my time in Paris. There are so many areas of the city to explore and never enough time! I enjoyed exploring on foot the Marais, the Latin Quarter, the Il de La Cite, Ile St-Louis, and St. Germain- des- Pres. I never even used the metro - just walked! I enjoyed the Musee d'Orsay as I love art. I enjoyed the many cathedrals and churches such as Sainte-Chapelle. The Jardin des Tuileries and the Jardin du Luxembourg were wonderful green spaces & great for people watching. I enjoyed the Le Pantheon and the many varied museums like the Musee Carnavalet and the Maison de Victor Hugo. I had a wonderful lemon meringue pie at the tearoom Le Loir dans la Theiere and I loved the boulangerie at St.-Michel. I definitely will have to come back as there are so many neighbourhoods and sites that I didn't get to. If you love art, architecture, history, and food, you'll love Paris.

The hotel room was tiny for what I paid.
The hotel room was tiny for what I paid. Traffic is far worse than I recall. The cyclists seem frighteningly irresponsible. Many streets seem dirtier than I recall. Large litter bins block too many pavements. Adequately good food is very pricey. Unfortunately, pretty much everything about Paris now seems inferior to the way I remember it when I last visited it about 20-to-25 years ago. I have lived in London all that time, and have not seen anything like the deterioration I saw in Paris. I would no longer consider it as a destination for a romantic weekend.

Paris is a wonderful city.
Paris is a wonderful city. So much to see and do. the history of the city is on display everywhere and you should plan your days carefully to ensure you see everything you want.
Previously we have used the metro to expedite getting from one place to another but this time we walked and saw lots of things we would otherwise have missed.
We did however use the metro 6 times during our stay and were targeted 3 times by pick pockets. Although we didn’t lose anything be very careful of groups of 4/5 children/ young adults as they block your way and isolate you and go about there work
For such a central location, I think the price we paid was worth it. There were much cheaper options outside the city centre but we thought the convenience of being in such a central and lively part of town was worth it. The room was small as is in every typical hotel room in Paris. But it was clean, had comfy beds, a nice window and view and airconditioning, which we needed the most when we went in the summer. They also have free luggage storage and breakfast for an additional fee (restaurant was at the ground floor).
It’s not a big place, but cozy! We arrived earlier than the check-in, but the great receptionist Olga has checked us in right away, it was very nice after a trip between cities. Internet was good, which was strange to me as two other hotels we stayed were with terrible internet. The room has all necessary facilities you require, it small but cozy. The breakfast is standard in Paris :) Overall it was a great 1-day stay. We could compare the stay at 3 hotels in France, this one was the best! thanks
The staff were lovely and attentive. Though the room was a typical size for France, the space is well designed to feel more spacious. The decor was elegant and more beautiful than the photos convey. The location was fantastic. We enjoyed walking to the museums, the Seine, while passing by the top fashion houses, famous bars and hotels along the way. The Metro stop is literally at the corner and was so convenient and also a good experience. Nearby restaurants were great. A perfect place!
Easy to find, nice courtyard, friendly staff. There’s everything you need as a solo Traveller, doesn’t matter the occasion (business / leisure). The rooms are a little dated, but everything’s sparkling clean and well maintained. I was especially surprised by the quality of the bathroom which is unusual in France. very clean 👍. I had switched to this hotel because I had a horrible experience somewhere else, so this hotel felt like heaven to me in comparison.
I've stayed in many small Paris hotels and this one had the best decor, was the cleanest and in the best state of maintenance of any of them that I can remember - exceeding expectations. Staff were perfectly helpful. There is free coffee in the lobby and a wide selection of alcoholic drinks to buy. There wasn't much fresh fruit at breakfast but the croissants were very fresh and flaky, not the cheap chewy long-life kind.
Wonderful location to sit on balcony and watch people going about their lives. The host Paul was fantastic and always accessible. Having a king size bed in Paris, windows as large as doors, and a beautifully decorated apartment was the perfect beginning to our France trip. This apartment had the most gorgeous entrance and staircase including a small elevator. We couldn’t have wanted anything more.
Great unpretentious hotel situated in quiet side street at the bottom end of Rue du Bac. Perfect room and hotel size and facilities. Breakfast (extra, not cheap€14) excellent quality, quantity & variety. Nice communal areas, with complementary tea & coffee. Very courteous staff.
4 metro stations within 5 or 6 mins walk
Lovely part of Paris close to everything but not touristy.
Bercy is a great area for a very cultural experience of the 🇫🇷 France.
We had Arabic/African food in the area. Bercy marche berbes has good watermelon. Very cheap too. This hotel is surrounded with good vibes
Wanderlust (sunday groove) club just 10 min walk away.
Good staff, young boy and man with glasses helped us. Theyre both very pleasant to talk to. Very cheerful
Great stay. Friendliest hotel staff I had in France. One block to Eiffel Tower. I walked over tot he Christmas Markets in front of the tower. I able to walk outside in the evening in front of hotel and catch the sparkling lights on the tower, on the hour. The taxis are always lined up outside the hotel. Very convenient. I would stay here again.
I just loved L’oasis Montparnasse. The staff is incredibly kind, they speak fluent English so you have no communication problems. The place is really beautiful and clean and compared to other facilities in France is big . I loved it and I am absolute coming back. This hotel exceeded my expectations by far.
Awesome stay in Paris
Staff were highly accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure our stay in France was amazing.
No request was an issue. Comfortable bed and perfect location.
Highly recommend you stay here. Were so thankful to the staff for all they did for us.
Cathy & Shannon 😊
The Hotel was as described - The room was clean and spacious, Abdel on reception looked after us very well and was very helpful, situated within walking distance of Place De Clichy and Paris Gare du Nord it was an excellent location to explore the city and attend rugby at Stade de France
Beautiful old hotel, my room looked like I was in a palace! I went for the Tour de France and was the best option I could find near by. Hotels in the area are VERY expensive. Breakfast was nice and the walk to work the next day was amazing, you are close by all the attractions in Paris.
Its a value for money. One of the cheapest rooms we found. It wasn't huge. Very basic but that is what Paris is all about. It was comfortable. The shower was good. The people in reception were nice and cordial. Lots of bakeries around the hotel. Easy to reach with public transport
We had a nice and quiet room on 4th floor. Staff was available 24h and the location of the hotel is amazing! Public parking is on the same street and cost 16$ per day which is very cheap for Paris. All area seems to be really safe! We can definitely recommend this hotel!
Basically the only redeeming quality of this place was its location, a convenient 7-minute walk away from the Paris Convention Center where we were attending a conference. The breakfast was also decent for Paris/France standards.
Very convenient location, clean, very courteous and attentive staff. Rooms are small which is a Paris / France thing, but they are AC’ed. Amenities are modern. Street is fairly quiet.
It was easy getting to the Eurostar from here, £10 taxi. In comparison to other hotels within Paris it was the cheapest I could find. There was a nice balcony in the first room.
A nice hotel at a fair price in a great location, right next to the Montparnasse train station and the M13 line. Great for Paris as well as travel around France.
